There’s no denying the Instant Pot Smart WiFi makes tasty meals. But considering the only remote control you have over the pot is the ability to start/stop it with your phone, you’re essentially paying extra for a feature that doesn’t revolutionize the cooking experience. If Wi-Fi control isn’t a must-have feature, you can save $20 on the $129.99 6-Quart Duo Plus, which is otherwise the same product. And for even less, the $99.95 6-Quart Duo60 offers many of the same features, minus the LCD. –pcmag.com

The Instant Pot Smart WiFi keeps all the popular modes and functions customers have come to know and love. Buttons for beans, chili, meat, rice, yogurt and cake programs are all there. You’ll also get saute, pressure cook, steam and slow cook functions. There isn’t a program button for eggs or a button for sterilizing, but otherwise this model looks a whole lot like the Duo Plus series. Instant Pot’s comparison chart gives you a good idea of what the trade-offs are between each model. The Instant Pot Smart WiFi also comes with a soup spoon, rice paddle and measuring cup. –cnet.com

If you’ve used other Instant Pot models in the past, then you will love how most of the same functions and modes are included with the Instant Pot Smart WiFi. There are buttons for cooking cake, yogurt, rice, meat, chili, and beans. In addition, you can do slow cooking steaming, pressure cooking, and sautéing. Unfortunately, there is no sterilization button or egg maker button. Aside from that, the Instant Pot Smart WiFi has a lot in common with the Instant Pot Duo Plus series. Some of the accessories that come with the Smart WiFi multicooker include a measuring cup, soup spoon, and rice paddle. –instapots.net

If you’re a gadget person like me, you’ll have fun with the Smart WiFi. My favorite thing about using it is being able to tell how hot it is inside the pot. I often like to wait in the kitchen until the pressure cooker has reached pressure. If I’m cooking with the Duo I’ll put my hands on the outside to feel how hot it’s getting and listen for the sound of boiling inside the pot.
With the Smart WiFi, there’s a temperature gauge in the App. The gauge shows you if preheating is just starting or almost complete.
I like that the App shows you when the cooking time is almost up from anywhere. Then I know how much time I have before I need to head back to the kitchen; to set the table, or start a side dish.- pressurecookingtoday.com
